Conglomeration: Good! We had fun. The Con was not as good as years past but it is still recovering from having been gone for a few years. What it needs is some younger people in charge. Not that us older guys don't have what it takes but you cant have all the same people for years and years...some of them die out so to speak. We sat in on a panel ran by a wonderful artist; Laura Reynolds who gave us knowledge and insight into her sculpting and techniques.

Computer: bad!!...I have been having an issue with flash media corrupting the video cards memory. It's been leaving an image stuck that bleeds through either the white or black component of things displayed on the desktop. I am not sure if its flash (un-installed and re-installed) or something i tried to do with desktop special effects (found to be broken in 10.10), video card dying (it is and 8800GTS and has several years on it), or something gone wrong in the video driver. I downloaded a newer version of the driver and installed it...boots to console and i can't coax it to start Xserver...Sooo right now the computer is updating itself to 11.04 from Bash, which will likely make all kinds of stuff not work but lets hope not...or at least lest hope it boots to the gui again.

The good thing about Ubuntu is even horribly broken I can boot to command or boot via a live disk and recover all my stuff.
