I would like to get a new car but it's just not in the budget.
Don't get me wrong, I luve my Honda Fit and it's gas mileage but it also got 211,000 miles and is 17 years old.
It needed a clutch and has been running a little strange so I bit the bullet and had the clutch replaced for $1700 .
The valve lash adjustment and spark plugs its due for, I'll do myself.
Well..with the exception of the big tractor which is still undergoing some restoration work; all the yard implements fired up and don't need much in the way of maintenance work. The little push mower needs an air filter and the Troy needs a fuse. Its started up just fine but I made the mistake of doing so with a low battery, so it blew the main fuse..prolly because I have a 15amp where a 30 goes so it could not handle all the lightening from the generator but that's my fault. It blew last year because of a small short, 15's where what I had. I could have sworn I picked up a box of 30's...
Whats with this weather - 15 today, 80 24 hours ago - its done this several times in the past few months .
All together, up and running, copy is perfect.
What's to do ?
The machine has been offline for a while, I have to upgrade the firmware and double check all the image dimensional adjustments.
All minor things that you would do for any machine setup.
I think they stored a bag of sand on top of the damn thing.
Had to break out some of the good chemicals on this next phase.
it was 78 degree yesterday and it's 24 degree this morning.
!!!
I seem to be behind on updates.
Divorce came through . Hopefully william can get his life in order and get off my couch so I can continue to work on the floor replacement.
My car ..it's old.. It needs a clutch and while mechanically sound its got other issues.
My teeth, need a lot of work but trying to save up money.
Tractor, I think i have everything to get it all up and running. Also taking a lot of it apart and fixing it up.
I have entirely too many small projects that need to be completed.
i did get the yard tractor running- yard has been mowed though it time to do it again.
getting my remicaide today, not much else to report.
The roof has been spitting out decking nails and giving some leaks, new roof is scheduled for next month.
rather than asphalt we are going with poly-mod shingles .
thats all folks
Full story time now
Start mowing, much needed - weeks behind...
Mover deck drive belt breaks.
Okay..i mean belts do wear out.
I took the opportunity to give the deck some love - pressure wash, lubricate, replace spindle bearings, sharpen the blades.
Put all back together, engage the deck..and the engagement cable broke.
Okay, that's not something I am gonna find local sooo...lets switch to the old Yardman.
It's deck is stupid heavy, prolly close to 200Lbs but I got it on, installed the new blades i had for it from a long time ago.
Started mowing, got 2/3rds done and poof - Yardman just dies in the yard.
No idea what wrong, he's 30 years old and I think it's a wiring/safety circuit issue.
Thought about push mowing but its way to humid and i just spent 2 days hard labor trying to get everything running.
I'll push mow a little here and there.
Meanwhile I have a pile of parts coming from the amazon because you can't buy anything local anymore and I think all these parts are all made in china so they will be shit quality.
My 2009 Honda FIT just rolled over 200,000 miles !
It's running fine mostly and I love my little shit box but it needs a clutch and some window seals, new headlights, a windshield.
Need to get motivated and decide if I want to have the clutch replaced, do the clutch myself or if it's time to find a replacement car.
Thoughts?
